Category: Being A Roman Roadwalker

A king who did not believe in the goodness of God, had a slave who, in all Circumstances, said: My king, do not be discouraged, because everything God does is perfect, no mistakes!

One day they went hunting and along the way a wild animal attacked the king. His slave managed to kill the animal, but could not prevent his majesty losing a finger. Furious and without showing his gratitude for being saved,
the nobleman said

“Is God good? If He was good, I would not have been attacked and lost my finger.”

The slave replied: “My king, despite all these things, I can only tell you that God is good, and he knows the “why” of all these things. What God does is perfect. He is never wrong!”

Outraged by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his slave.

Later, he left for another hunt and was captured by savages who made human sacrifices. at the altar, ready to sacrifice the nobleman, the savages found that the victim had not one of his fingers, so he was released.

According to them, he was not so complete to be offered to the gods.

Upon his return to the palace, he authorized the release of his slave that he received very affectionately.

“My dear, God was really good to me! I was almost killed by the wild men, but for lack of a single finger, I was let go! But I have a question: if God is so good, why did he allow me to put you in jail?”

“My King, if I had gone with you in this hunt, I would have been sacrificed for you, because I have no missing finger, therefore, remember everything God does is perfect. He is never wrong.”

Often we complain about life, and the negative things that happen to us, forgetting that nothing is random and that everything has a purpose.

Roman Roadwalker Scrap Book Page

First off, being a Roadwalker requires being a Christian. As a matter of fact being one is all about walking the road to salvation and staying firmly on it.
Walking it is not an easy choice.  It takes faith and the daily choice to stay the course and walk the narrow way.
To begin there are four steps to starting this life changing journey.
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 10:9 – 19 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
First is accepting that you have sinned.  matter of fact. I have sinned.  Everyone on this planet has sinned and will sin, only Jesus was sinless and only he can save us from that sin.
Secondly, sin has a cost.  That cost is death.  Not just physical death, but emotional, mental and spiritual.  Each time we disobey God, some part of us dies.  And only God, through Jesus can restore that lost life.  And not just that but give us a better, everlasting life.
Third is the wonderful step of coming to know that even before we turned out heart to Him, God loved us.  Loved us enough to risk it all, even his Son, to get us to come back to Him.  And his Son came to earth to show us what we had lost and to tell us the way to get it all back.  Then he died and rose again to make the way possible for us.
Finally, and this is the big one, we have to make a decision.  Up to now God did all the work.  Now we just have to believe and confess.  Now that means we have to choose what we believe.
There are two parts to this.
You must believe that God raised Jesus from the dead.  If we believe that He rose, then we can believe that we too shall one day rise from the dead to be with Him.
You must confess that Jesus is Lord.  Yes he is God, yes he is a friend, a comfort a teacher, but above all He must be Lord.  Adonai!  That is that he rules our lives.  We submit to him as a master and he cares for us as his own precious  possession
If you have decided to become a Christian tell someone what you have decided.  Getting “saved” is not the end, it is the beginning.  Now that you have chosen to believe, you need to grow.  To do that you need to find a church that believes the Bible and start going.  There you will find encouragement, instruction, correction and guidance.
I hope that if you have read this and decided to be a Roman Roadwalker like me, you will let me know so I can pray for you.
Finally, Welcome to the family!
